The 30–90 Day Executive Relocation Checklist
The difficult part of relocation is rarely the flight. It is everything that follows: learning a new route, finding a place to work, buying the basics twice and trying to make good decisions while living out of temporary arrangements.
A furnished residence can remove much of that friction, but only when the practical questions are handled before arrival.
Two to four weeks before arrival
Confirm the assignment address and decide what “close” really means. A shorter distance is not always the easier commute. Consider the hours you will travel, access to the roads or transit you will actually use, and the places that support an ordinary week: groceries, pharmacy, exercise and a quiet meal.
At the same time, clarify who will occupy the home. If a partner, child or colleague may join later, include that information in the original enquiry. Occupancy and documentation requirements can vary by residence and location, so the Booking Desk should confirm what applies to your stay.
One week before arrival
- Keep the booking confirmation and contact details somewhere available offline.
- Confirm arrival timing, access instructions and parking.
- Ask what the kitchen, laundry and workspace already include.
- Arrange any essential delivery only after the residence and access window are confirmed.
- Share the support contact with anyone joining the stay.
Build a workable first week
A relocation feels more manageable when the first few days are not overfilled. Identify the route to work, locate the nearest essentials and test the internet before the first important call. Unpack enough to stop treating the residence like a waiting room. The point is not to reproduce your permanent home in one evening; it is to create a stable base quickly.
Review the dates before the midpoint
Assignments often gain clarity after they begin. Put a reminder well before the end of the booking to review the departure date. If more time may be needed, ask about renewal while the residence is still available. If plans have changed in the other direction, check the applicable cancellation and modification terms before making assumptions about a refund.
Keep private life separate from the assignment
A whole home gives an executive somewhere to close the laptop and leave work in another room. That separation is easy to underestimate, especially during an intense move. A proper kitchen, living area and private entrance are not decorative benefits; they help the stay function like life rather than an extended check-in.
